Jebel International Airport is an international airport under construction in the Balkan velayat of Turkmenistan. This is one of the six international airports in the country. The airport is being built 20 km northwest of Balkanabat city and 4 km from the mud resort "Mollakara". The tender for the construction of a new airport in the urban-type settlement of Jebel was announced in December 2020 by the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan. On July 14, 2021, the groundbreaking ceremony for the future airport with a capacity of 100 passengers per hour took place. By February 2024, the construction of a transformer substation, a special reservoir, and a room for fire services was nearing completion. A 35-meter tower for dispatch service employees and other technical premises were under construction. The area of the airport complex will be 275 hectares. The territory will include passenger and cargo terminals, a control center, rescue and fire service buildings. The runway will be 3,200 meters long. The apron will be designed for 6 aircraft and 4 helicopters.
